Website Marketing Assistant

About the role

With over 40,000 businesses visiting the Booker Website every week and the site generating over £1.9bn worth of sales we are keen to develop and improve our online proposition to our 570k registered Caterers and Retailers.  As a Website Marketing Co-ordinator you will work within an enthusiastic team dedicated to developing an exciting area of the business.  As someone that takes great pride in delivering excellent online imagery and editorial content you will take the time to understand and think about the needs of our customers  and bringing to life online the vision and inittiatives set out by the retail and catering teams.

Role Responsibility

  • Managing design and creatives for website/email content (visual and editorial) for our online Retailers, Caterers and Small Businesses and using a bespoke content management system (sitecore).
  • Liaising with key internal stakeholders and external design agencies for key messaging and content.
  • Producing accurate and timely analytical information to drive website and email awareness.
  • Ensuring brand adherence, consistency of key messages and focus on agreed initiatives and activity by the retail, catering and small business teams.
  • Supporting and assisting the wider digital team on other duties as and when required.
  • Organising the accurate and timely management of posting content on the website.

You will need


To be successful in this role you will need to display a genuine interest in the web and be customer focused.  Must possess good communication skills, a self-starter with a positive attitude and a keen eye for attention to detail.  You will be adaptable and committed to self-development and assist the digital team in administering, maintaining and developing the company website with the aim of delivering better content around choice, price and service. 

Ideal candidates will need to be PC Literate with a good understanding of MS Office in particular PowerPoint and Excel, coupled with the ability to think logically and to demonstrate and apply commercial awareness to any task.  Working knowledge of graphics packages would be advantageous.  If you are a self-starter with a willingness to learn and the drive to achieve and develop within a role that is challenging and will develop and grow with the function then this is the opportunity for you.
