About the role
Our warehouse is fast paced and forms an essential part of the depot in delivering the right products to our customers on time. We have an opportunity for a Warehouse Supervisor to support and facilitate the success of the warehouse.
The ideal candidate will have a thorough knowledge of Health & Safety, be highly organised, and have experience of managing a large, diverse work force in a time critical environment. The ability to communicate effectively at all levels is essential to succeed in this role. You will need to build effective team relationships, motivate and develop your team, and maintain positive relationships with other departments.
Responsibilities include: managing staff to ensure they are aware of and adhere to all company policies, procedures and safe working practices, providing advice and support to work colleagues in an approachable manner, and managing staffing levels through efficient control of absence/holidays. Working with the Warehouse Managers, you will agree targets and standards to support the achievement of all our objectives.
You will need
The role requires flexibility to meet the needs of the operation. You will be expected to manage the demands of the shift, dealing with problems that may arise in a professional, effective manner and will actively manage initiatives and identify staff training and development needs.
Hours of work: Day shift, 40 hours per week.
