Supply Chain Planner

We are looking for a Supply Chain Planner to join our Head Office in Wellingborough to support our Branches and Category Teams on a 6month Fixed Term Contract.
You will liaise with all internal and external parties to ensure that the supply of product is planned and executed without negative impact to customers and suppliers.
Everyday is different where you will be faced with new challenges, you and the team will use your initiative to make key decisions but you will get the immense satisfaction of seeing the results of your endeavours.
Your key targets will be stock availability, service to our customers and working to agreed stock budgets
A portfolio of suppliers managing the flow of stock from the supplier base to the end customer.
Forecasting and order accuracy to ensure that the stock inbound is within the set budget
Ensuring that the business has the right amount of stock at the right time from the supplier, through the distribution network to branches and then ultimately the end customer
Working closely with the supplier, sharing with them planned promotional activity and forecasts
Managing stock levels across the various Distribution Centres and escalating as required
Re-apportioning stock to branches based on their forecast and agreed stock cover
Ensuring the release and flow of stock is within agreed timescales
You will need
At least 1-2 years experience in a similar role or within stock management
You will need to be great with numbers, sharp with data and have the ability to multi-task.
An intermediate knowledge of Excel spreadsheets is necessary.
You will need to be a good communicator, and be able to build strong working relationships with external and external teams including third party suppliers.
You will be prepared to work at pace, and most of all not be afraid to get stuck in.
