Internal Auditor

About the role

We operate the UK’s ONLY flexible multi-temp, shared customer delivery logistics network.  We buy, warehouse, pick and distribute products to the nation’s best loved food and drink brands every single day and provide the best experience to our customers.

There is now an exciting opportunity to join the Compliance team, based at Hoddesdon.  This is a stand-alone role where you will be expected to lead the internal auditing function at the depot.

Role Responsibility


  • To support and conduct internal audits in line with Best Food Logistics and customer guidelines and standards
  • Conduct annual BRCGS S&D self-audit
  • Conduct semi-annual (2x per year) Yum Brands distribution centre self-audits
  • Conduct annual Yum Brands transportation audit
  • Monthly Site Review audit
  • Product temperature checks
  • Pre-cooling audit
  • Paperwork compliance
  • Pick compliance
  • Training records checks
  • Prepare reports to support operational quality
  • Support the audit manager in additional operational audits as required
  • Work to weekly KPI’s

You will need

  • To have experience in a previous audit role and of BRCGS S&D auditing standards
  • Have Internal audit certification and a minimum of Level 2 in Food Safety
  • Thorough knowledge of ISO Standards/GMP’s
  • Be proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
  • To work on your own initiative  
  • Excellent time management and communication skills
  • Hold a full UK Driving License
