HR & Development Manager
About the role
Following a recent internal promotion we have a fantastic opportunity ....
We are looking for an experienced HR professional who has experience in a fast moving retail/wholesale environment and who can influence, coach and support the Regional Director, the Regional Support and Business Centre teams in improving customer satisfaction and cash profit.
You will support 27 branches and can be based from (Bedford, Cambridge, Northampton area or East Anglia ).
Influence and support the Regional Director, business centres and sales teams to ensure we recruit and induct the Right People at the Right Time in the Right Place, whilst maintaining and developing regional succession plans that are fit for purpose
•Work with the Regional Director and Support team to improve performance of all managers within your region
•Understand the business and customer needs to provide commercially sound solutions or decisions and offer constructive feedback and coaching where required
•Identify people related opportunities for improvement and / or efficiency and facilitate appropriate HR interventions
•Ensure consistency, business risk and commercial impact are always considered when advising on HR policies
You will need
HR management and operational experience in a fast moving retail/wholesale environment
•Ideally have experience of managing an in-house HR function and Line Managers
•Good knowledge of HR best practice, Equal opportunities and Employment Law legislation
•Sound commercial judgment and understanding of business needs
